•Main focus is on legal aspects of the Bank’s day-to-day business. We are offering an interesting opportunity to get an insight into today's legal and regulatory challenges in the international private banking sector
•Working closely with the Bank's client advisors to respond to all legal and regulatory aspects of queries arising out of their relationship with their clients
•Provide support and advice on cross-border matters with particular focus on Europe and Intermediaries
•Supporting the management in all aspects of client complaints, litigations and contentious issues
•Supporting the legal stream in international projects
•Provide efficient, client-oriented solutions and on-going support to the private banking front staff with regard to legal and reputational risk issues arising in daily business with clients
•Supervising and managing external counsel in litigation matters
•Drafting and examining contracts, settlement agreements and correspondence
•Training the Bank's employees on special legal topics


•University law degree and admittance to the Bar in Switzerland is a must
•Experience as a lawyer in the banking area (preferably private banking) or in a law firm specialised in banking and corporate law
•Excellent legal skills and good knowledge of banking law
•Fluent in German and English; additional language skills would be an asset
•Dynamic, flexible and capable of working independently
•Solution- and target-oriented person with analytical skills and a customer-oriented focus
•Good communicator, capable of coping with pressure and with a natural ability to convince
