My client is entering the next phase of a multi-million dollar project in the Communications/IT arena and is expanding by recruiting for a Project Manager to based in Riyadh/Saudi.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS for the Project Manager.
The Project Manager (Training) is responsible for the management, control and delivery of deployable systems training projects delivered under the programme.
The PM (Trg) is responsible across the project delivery lifecycle from design through to implementation, customer acceptance and delivery.
Responsible to the Programme Manager for fulfilling the contractual responsibilities for the assigned projects and as covered by the terms and conditions of the Contract.
Responsible for ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects in relation to performance, cost and delivery timescale.
Coordinate and manage the delivery of all Deployed Systems training at the Deployed Equipment Training Wing.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Programme team is the primary interface to the customer for all project activities and is responsible for creating and delivering through-life, value for money solutions at minimal risk to the Company.
The PM (Trg) has the following responsibilities:
To deliver projects in line with customer’s key success criteria:
Understand customer requirements in order to achieve milestones.
Manage customer expectations through clear baseline specifications, accurate reporting and capturing variations through the project change control procedures.
Develop excellent working relationships and trust with the customer and sub-contractors.
Anticipate and be proactive to control all project activities and financial targets.
Adopt a disciplined approach to ensure effective project planning and control.
Ensure risks are defined, maintained, reported and mitigation plans are followed to reduced project risk and opportunities taken.
Act decisively and communicate effectively.
Apply the company’s lifecycle management to all assigned projects.
Conduct regular project reviews with all stakeholders to communicate project progress; may be required to brief at board level.
Provide, maintain and implement the necessary Project Management Plans and procedures, including documentation, configuration control and risk management.
Coordinate with department heads, resource owners and PMO for resources, project documentation, project reporting and updates, project plans and briefings.
Updating the Project Databases and Documentation, as required for the projects assigned.
Where necessary, coordinate with Managed Services for the delivery and handover of projects on the requirements for Transition, Quality Assurance and Acceptance Testing.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge & Experience):
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
Sound understanding of project management and commercial practice.
Proven track record of delivering successful training projects.
Possesses a sound knowledge and experience of managing budgets.
Holds a recognised Project Management qualification.
Customer relationship experience.
Strong standard of written and spoken English.
Business experience in the design, development and delivery of training projects.
Working knowledge and understanding of Defence Systems Approach to Training Quality Standard (DSAT QS).
Experience in the delivery of training infrastructure products and services.
